Gent vs Genk
Belgium First Division A, 7:45PM
BET: Both Teams to Score & Over 8 Corners
PRICE: 2.30 (Bet365)
STAKE: ⭐️⭐️ 2 point stake
Gent fresh from a trip to Liberec in the UEL on Thursday and results have really taken a turn for the worse with so many games on, but here at home I'm pretty confident they can find the net. But with the pressure of so many games packed in at the moment and Hoffenheim coming here in 3 days time for their 2nd group game in the UEL, it's all go and they're leaking goals for fun.
This will be Gent's 16th game of the season that only kicked off a little over 2 months ago and had a 2 week international break thrown in there as well. During that run across all competitions, they've found the net in 12 of their 15 games, conceding in 13. Here at home in the league they've scored more home goals than any other side in the bottom half and have managed just 1 clean sheet in the process. A 5-1 win over Beerschot in their lat game here at home seemed to be a confidence boost, but after the international break they then returned with a 5-2 loss away at Cercle Brugge.
The visiors are unbeaten in 4 games in all competitions coming into this, but they are 2 wins and 2 draws and while they haven't been beaten, they have conceded in all of those games. Their last 6 in a row have seen both teams find the net now and while they are fresher with their last game being 8 days ago and this only being their 3rd game in October, they've scored in 8/9 and conceded in 8/9 games in the league this term.
Gent's 4 home league games this season have produced 11, 12, 5, 11 corners. Genk's 4 away league games have produced 10, 8, 11, 17 corners. The last 10 meetings between the two sides have produced 13, 8, 8, 19, 7, 17, 14, 9, 10, 13 corners and I'm pretty confident we can get into double figures in this one. Gent have averaged 5.75 team corners per game and Genk have averaged 5.50 team corners per game, so with a combined 11.25 we should be fine.
